The consultation

First consultation takes 2 to 3 hours.
The following consultations take 45 to 60 minutes.
During the first consultation, I inquire on the time of first appearance
of symptoms, your general, physical and emotional state, medical history.

Questions about your physical symptoms and general state : in details, what makes it better or worse?
What are your distinctive or intense reactions to food, weather, social and emotional environment ?
What are your sleep patterns, how is your digestion, appetite, what are your intense food cravings and aversions ? Before and after the illness ? How are the body and mind expressed in the illness ?
What outer or inner factors may have weakened your defense mechanism and allowed to illness to settle ? It is the way in which the patient expresses the disease that tells the prescriber what to do.

What to expect from the consultation?

One of my teachers once told me : " If someone consults for eczema and that after a consultation or two the patient returns with a smooth skin, but with the same sleeping and digestivedisorder, the same excessive perspiration at night, the same fatigue and exhaustion as in day one, there is no deep healing process happening here, but s simple suppression of skin symptoms that will soon reoccur. When we prescribe the right remedy, not only the skin should gradually find its balance and get better, but the global state should gradually come back to a balance."

With homeopathy, the global healing means that the amelioration should be felt at many, if not at all levels ; physical, physiological, general and emotional. Homeopathy is not satisfied with hiding the symptoms, but rather with helping the whole body to get back its capacity to cure itself. The homeopath wants to get the best global understanding and feeling of the person's state in order to prescribe one's best suited remedy.

The first signs of deep improvement are seen in the disappearing of the symptoms of the main illness but, most importantly in a stronger energy and resistance, most of the time, a deep sensation of well-being and peace, and a general improvement of the physical and emotional state. This is why many times people consult for a certain illness, let's say migraines, and find that their long time wart has gone, or tha they are no longer constipated, or their joint pain is also gone, or their sleep is deeper... Once the body gets its energy back with homeopathy, it can cure itself globally.

How long does it take to feel the effect of the remedy?

Though some people may react so very quickly, and be highly improved or even on the way to a complete healing of a chronic condition within a few weeks or months, each case is diferent. Many factors will accelerate or slow down the healing process. The clarity of the case and the capacity to find the right remedy, the body's capacity to respond, your nutritional habits and lifestyle. The homeopathic treatment is a process that sometimes requires some time and you should give yourself and your homeopath the time to let this process take form as you gradually observe the improvement taking place. Wether it is a slow or fast improvement, you should expect to see your homeopath throughout the year if you have been suffering from a chronic condition for many years.

If some acute conditions, such as infections, the effect must be felt within minutes or a few hours, otherwise, you should turn to other solutions, for your body needs to a fast relief. In theses cases you need to be in touch with your homeopath who folllows your improvement very closely and makes sure you are getting better fast enough.

Cure, palliation or support

In most cases, patients react very well, very fast to homeopathy.
They are deeply cured with no side effects.

In some severe cases the patient does not have much energy left to be stimulated by the remedy and to restore complete health. When homeopathy fails to restore health, it remains a good palliation tool to minimize the symptoms and pain.
